City2048 – Game Review
Looking for an enjoyable mindless task that can help you procrastinate with the convenient portability of your phone? Look no further than City2048. This game is our favorite 2048 game adaptation with a graphical twist! If you aren’t familiar with 2048 it’s a simple puzzle game where you slide tiles in a grid in order to combine their numerical values. It sounds dreadfully boring but it is actually very therapeutic to turn off your thought box from time to time. City2048 adds a graphical element that replaces numerical values with architectural features and this makes the game a lot less like a daunting spreadsheet. Instead of combining two tiles each with the number “1” written on them you combine two small homes into a larger home and gain instant satisfaction from your mini real estate empire.
Graphics – This game gives you something more to look at then numbers. As you grow your city ever larger you get a sense of satisfaction seeing your little shanty homes turning into massive sky scrapers. This is a big improvement from the sea of numbers that is the classic 2048 game.
Single Serve Game – You can pick this game up and play a round in less than 5 minutes. It’s a great distraction for when you’re trying to procrastinate something super important. You could also use it as a time sink when you’re waiting for your first born child to come into this world. We’re not legally obligated to tell you to use this product responsibly but we urge you to anyways.
Power-Ups – This game has power-ups that you can obtain when hitting milestones. I’m not a big fan of this because it feels like a cheat to help you get to higher levels. However, they are optional and if you don’t like them you don’t have to use them.
Free To Play – Did I mention this game was free? Because it is absolutely free to download. The sparse ads that fund this game are unobtrusive and shouldn’t bother you. For the low, low price of free you should probably stop googling reviews for the game and just download it already!
