Games to Watch – 2015
When you have a back log of about 30 games you really shouldn’t be looking at ones that haven’t even come out yet. Unfortunately we just can’t help ourselves. We have a serious problem. It haunts the shadowy hours of the night and we catch glimpses of our obsession in the twinkling sun. We need help, but we don’t have the dental plan to get it. So, in lieu of our mental stability, enjoy a list of games we can’t wait to play!
Asylum by Senscape
Mystery, terror, madness and an aesthetically pleasing building to explore; Shut up and take my money! A strange obsession with the macabre and a background in psychology has us eager to check ourselves into Hanwell manor for the opportunity to explore this stunning psychological horror adventure! A touch of what we loved from the classics and all the best from today make this a very promising game to play!
Pillars of Eternity by Obsidian Entertainment
Pillars of Eternity is the long awaited spiritual successor to games like Icewind Dale and Baldur’s gate. This game hopes to be a return to the classic RPG style complete with enthralling lore, gratuitous violence and companions to use as convenient meat shields. Put on your butt kicking boots we’ve got dungeons to pillage! I mean liberate from evil! Yeah!
Darkwood by Acid Wizard Studio
Darkwood is a top-down survival horror that looks to be a game you can invest some sanity into (never to be reclaimed). Darkwood draws heavily on lighting and the unknown which should make eerie and unnerving a part of your descriptive vocabulary for this game. We only hope the story (which remains a mystery) is as entertaining as the game-play trailers!
The Forest by Endnight Games
First person survival is a difficult genre to master. The need for smooth action coupled with compelling narrative and unique game-play can be quite the hurdle to overcome. The Forest promises to fulfill all of the above and deliver a game that just might give you a fright. Be prepared to release your inner Bear Grylls and expect to be on the edge of your seat.
