Kids love dinosaurs and every adult is still a kid in deep denial of their lingering affection for them. I was a kid once; those around me suggest from time to time that I never grew up. I can’t help but jeer at them as I sit there cramming dog food into my plastic toy Rex’s mouth. I certainly don’t feel shame in my dinosaur enthusiasm but if you do there is great news! Now you can indulge in childish delight as you craft your very own Jurassic park in the shame free safety of your own home!
Jurassic Park Builder allows you to live out your fantasy of owning and operating your very own dinosaur park, complete with Velociraptor enclosures and Pterodactyl perches. Produced by Ludia and available through apple, android and Facebook this little builder game has found its way to the top of my “Things I should avoid because they are incredibly addictive” list.
Frequent Updates– Often I find myself getting bored of builder games because the content becomes stagnant. Ludia does a fantastic job of periodically implementing new features and dinosaurs that keep my wandering attention at a focus. Have some kudos and props for keeping the game fresh my good fellows.
Multiplatform – Want to play with dinosaurs on your PC? What about your iPhone or on your Android whatever-it-is-they-are-selling-these-days? Good news you can! This game performs as well on your computer as it does on your mobile device. Why pay attention in your anthropology 101 course when you can be living prehistory with your own gaggle of chomp chomps in the back row of the classroom?
Different Parks– What is better than designing one theme park? Designing three parks! You aren’t just limited to the tropical climate of Dinosaur Island in this nifty little builder. On top of the traditional park you can construct an aquatic park full of prehistoric carnivorous nightmares and a polar park to house your mammoths and saber tooth tigers.
Keeping up Without Spending – Sure things can be free, but realistically you will not obtain them for free. I have been playing for over a year now and I still can’t afford to buy a T-rex. Yes, unfortunately the devilishly iconic tyrannosaurus rex is a “pay to obtain” dinosaur. You could easily spend a small fortune on this game, but you really don’t have to if you aren’t the kind of person who needs everything immediately.
Nostalgia – If you were a fan of dinosaurs or the Jurassic park franchise this game can really bring to back to those fond memories. Every time I hear that iconic T-rex roar I can’t help but smile fondly.
Arena – If you ever thought the one on one combat of Pokémon should be applied to dinosaurs then boy is this the game for you! A relatively recent update to the game allows you to toughen up your dinosaurs and test them in an arena battle with other dinosaurs for points, medals and in-game currency!
You can find Jurassic Park Builder on your phones app store or access the Facebook version.
